2024 Football Calendar - Future Highlights

There are 6 major events being hosted throughout the world. This includes club and international competitions that everybody will want to be apart off.

January

2024 AFC Asian Cup:

12th January - 10th February 

Qatar are set to host another major tournament as they invite the top 24 nations around Asia to compete against each other. Players such as Premier League star Son Heung Min are expected to make the tournament one to remember.

2024 Africa Cup of Nations:

13th January - 11th February

The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) is drawing ever closer, with Ivory Coast staging the finals for the second time. Afcon is where the best countries across the continent of Africa come together to be crowned the champions. Many stars will compete in the competition including the likes of Mo Salah, Osimhen, Hakimi and Sadio Mane.

The tournament kicks off on Saturday, 13 January when the hosts will take on Guinea-Bissau at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan. Record seven-time champions Egypt are also in action on the opening weekend, facing Mozambique in Group B, while holders Senegal begin the defence of their title against The Gambia in Group C on Monday, 15 January.

February

2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup:

17th February - 10th March

This is a debut tournament that will be an international women's soccer competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the member associations of CONCACAF. The tournament will be contested by 12 teams, two teams that qualified for the Summer Olympics, the six teams that qualified from the group stage and play-in, and four guest national teams. The 12 teams will be split into 3 groups of 3 and play each other once. Eight teams will then advance into the knockout stage, which is a classic quarter final, semi final and final.

2024 MLS Return:

21st February 

The world awaits the Argentinian GOAT to return to league football, along with his ex Barcalona teammate Luis Suarez. As expected David Beckams Inter Miami will kick off the campaign as they face Real Salt Lake. 14 other games will take place the following Saturday. 

March 

2024 NWSL Return: 

16th March

The women soccer league returns once again. The star filled league will take place on the field once again to entertain the globe. With the likes of Alex Morgan, Debinha and Sophia Smith it should be another cracker.

May 

2024 UEFA Europa League Final:

22nd May 

Some huge sides take place in this years Europa League including the likes of Liverpool, AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen. Who will get to the final? We will have to wait and see, the finale will take place at Aviva Stadium in Dublin 

2024 FA Cup Final:

25th May 

The Oldest Competition in English football comes to a grand finale and two clubs have the chance to win one of the most prestige cups football has to offer. There are no surprises that Manchester City are favourites again after winning the treble last year. If they want any repeat performance, they will need to make sure they win this competition. On the road to the final there will be many underdogs who pull off fascinating results, this is why the FA Cup is so special.

June

2024 Champions League Final: 

1st June

A competition that is the ultimate prize to win in club football. All the best teams around Europe come together to compete and on the 1^st of June one club will be crowned the champions of Europe.

48^th Copa America June:

14th June - 14th July

Copa America is a huge competition and taking very seriously to everybody involved. Argentina will hope to continue their unbelievable success from the World Cup where Lionel Messi famously got his hands on the worlds most prized asset.

Brazil is involved and will hope for major players such as Neymar, Vinicius Junior and wonderkid Endrick will be fit and eager to go.

2024 Euros Germany:

14th June - 14th July:

This is the big one, the competition that everybody around Europe waits for. All the best nations across Europe come together to compete in one of the biggest footballing events across the globe.

Many of the big hitters such as Spain, France, England, and Portugal will be expected to set the tournament alive in Germany. With the likes of Mbappe, Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham staring it should not be short of entertainment.

Germany the hosts will hope to bring a special event for the whole of Europe to watch. They have many special stadiums with a vast amount of history in some incredible cities.
