Football Flick at Man City Academy

The Football Flick Urban Skills Trainer has been used in the Manchester City academy for two years now and with the players that they’ve been producing recently such as Phil Foden and Jadon Sancho, we thought we’d catch up with academy coach Stephen Torpey, to see how the products are being used.

“There are many reasons from a practical point of view such as they are portable, you can store them well and they look good. Also the fact that it complemented a large part of our technical programme was the reason it worked for us.

Using the equipment has certainly been a plus for us. Our boys and girls love using them and they’re durable. We change them on a yearly basis but if you think about them being used every single day in some capacity and at an elite level of adults, u18s, u16s, they last – and that’s something that’s also important.”
