Caden Kelly – Football Flick Academy Profile

Caden Kelly: Football Flick Academy has been a shining light in times of difficulty for the young talent of all ages across the North West. We’ve supported hundreds of kids since lockdown restrictions eased across the UK. Our Football Flick Academy team have been running COVID-Secure training sessions with up to 5 kids, from Under 6’s up to academy level players, on the cusp of a scholarship or a professional contract.

During this series, we’ll be taking a look at some of the best talent to come through our Academy in recent weeks. They speak about their journey so far and about how Football Flick Academy’s top-level coaching & World Class equipment that is on offer at each session has improved their overall game during a global pandemic.

Caden Kelly is a former Manchester City & Salford City Academy attacking midfielder. He came to the re-launch of the Football Flick Academy after first being introduced to it 6 years ago.

Caden 16 years old and after a long lockdown he was absolutely buzzing to get back out there. He told us Football Flick has helped him ‘improve his first touch’ over the time he’s been training with the World’s #1 Training Range.

Caden got into Football when he was 3 years old, watching his brother play and his love for the game grew the more he watched. After getting involved, he began playing himself and discovered his natural talent. He went on to have an incredible 10 years at the Manchester City Academy, growing & developing further in the game.

During this time at Manchester City, he found Football Flick’s World’s #1 Training Equipment & 6 years later he told us he still loves the quality of the products.

“I just love shooting off the boards. Just the way it comes back off to you, it’s great because you’ve got to react.”

Caden gave the brand such a seal of approval that we approached him for collaboration and he is now pictured on the box of our Urban Skills Trainer.

If you could give some advice to your younger self, what would it be?

 “There will be upsets but you just have to keep your head up and carry on”
